Areas of work
I work privately and also with Relate as a couples counsellor. I also provide therapy for children at a local secondary school and work with the counselling service Mosaic. I also support people experiencing bereavement and have worked with CRUSE.
I work with clients across all issues such as depression and anxiety, bereavement, communications, conflict, divorce, estrangement, sexuality and identity, childhood trauma, boarding school syndrome, eating disorders, relationship challenges, resilience, identity, being in the public eye, midlife crisis, impact of menopause and much more.
As part of my training I studied different types of therapy and offer a flexible therapeutic service that can be tailored to what the individual needs. I am qualified in Gestalt, Person Centred and Systemic techniques.
What it means to be part of the BACP
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I offer relationship counselling and psychotherapy, using BACP accredited theory and within their ethical framework. I work using an integrative model which draws on psychodynamic, systemic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) theoretical approaches.
My life before counselling
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Marketing professional for 20 years.
